This Lux Radio Theatre episode brings to life the beloved Italian tale of Pinocchio, interpreted in the style that would later inspire Disney’s classic film. At the time of the radio broadcast (December 25, 1939), the Disney movie had not yet been released. The story follows the adventures of the little wooden puppet who longs to become a real boy. Notably, the broadcast featured no cast credits or live studio audience—the applause you’ll hear was pre-recorded!
