The 2026 Vancouver Fringe Festival returns September 10 to 20, bringing dozens of exciting productions to venues across Vancouver and Granville Island!
Once again, VocalEye is partnering with the Vancouver Fringe to offer curated Fringe adventures hosted by members of our Blind and Low Vision community. It’s a fun and accessible way to experience the festival, discover new shows and enjoy a day at the Fringe together.

VocalEye’s Curated Fringe Weekend is your all-in-one festival adventure. Each day offers a lineup of shows, curated with Blind and Low Vision audiences in mind.

Tickets
Access the Fringe with VocalEye and enjoy free admission to all Curated Fringe Weekend shows on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20 (detailed schedule below). Seating is limited and available while tickets last. We encourage patrons to attend all shows on their chosen day. VocalEye members will have priority seating.

1:55 pm to 2:55 pm Unfinished Business: The Cold Case Files: Become part of the investigation in this interactive murder mystery where the audience decides whodunit. Venue: Arts Umbrella Theatre Run Time: 60 minutes
3:40 pm to 4:50 pm The Truth and Darers: Six kids. One game of Truth or Dare. No cop-outs—and no telling how far they’ll go. Venue: Arts Umbrella Theatre Run Time: 70 minutes

12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Coming of Rage: A new dark comedy that combines masks, puppetry, music, spoken text, ensemble movement, and imaginative handmade props to explore what it means to grow up in a world exposed to violence on a daily basis.Venue: Waterfront Theatre Run Time: 60 minutes
1:45 pm to 2:50 pm Soul Maker: What happens when you can’t accept a loved one dying, and how far would you go to keep them here?
Venue: Waterfront Theatre Run Time: 65 minutes
3:35 pm to 4:30 pm The Guys I F*cked: Christine and Noah are newly engaged and everything is wonderful—until Christine’s colourful romantic history comes to light and Noah realizes he may not know her as well as he thought. Venue: Waterfront Theatre Run Time: 55 minutes

Vancouver Fringe Festival
The Vancouver Fringe Theatre Society was formed in 1983 by a group of local artists who had a common goal: to provide a platform for independent artists. The society held its first Fringe Festival in 1985. We now hold the annual Vancouver Fringe Festival every September.
The Vancouver Fringe has operated on and around Granville Island since 2001. Over 11 days, we showcase unique art and create a community where everyone is united by a shared love for the art of performance. Today the festival sees 12,000 attendees and is facilitated by over 350 volunteers who graciously support the Fringe. Our Fringe is a place where lifelong friendships and connections are formed, whether you’re mingling at the Fringe bar or queuing up for a show.
The Fringe movement started in Edinburgh in 1947 as an uncurated festival where anyone could be an artist. Fringes came to North America in 1982, first in Edmonton AB, and then Vancouver in 1985. Canadian Fringes now select the participating artists by a lottery draw. This method aims to reduce gatekeeping, improve equity, and create space for independent artists. Canadian Fringe Festivals are all part of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals, a membership organization that holds the trademark for the word ‘Fringe’ in Canada and supports the 32 Member Festivals across Canada and the USA.
