Almost Live | Digital Carnival Z Highlights

Wednesday Sep 22, 2021 at 6:30 pm Pacific Time via Zoom

Cinevolution’s annual flagship event, Digital Carnival, is a festival of cutting-edge media art for community and artistic audiences of all ages. VocalEye is thrilled to partner with this exciting young company and to share highlights from this year’s festival.

Digital Carnival Z explores alternative understandings of the relationship between bodies, gestures, culture and society. Z references the gender-neutral pronoun ‘zie,’ the emergent generation-Z, and the possibilities for moving beyond the XX/XY binary. Please join us in exploring a series of dynamic projects and conversations that make visible alternative ways of occupying and performing the body, past, present, and future.

A grassroots, women-led, migrant-driven non-profit arts organization, Cinevolution’s mission is to promote innovation and critical discourse through film and new media artworks, bring new ways of thinking and expression into cross-cultural communication and foster creative exchange and collaboration among filmmakers and media artists in Canada and around the world.
