Goblin:Macbeth

Sunday September 10 at 2 pm at Bard on the Beach, Howard Family Stage, 1695 Whyte Avenue, Vancouver | View Map | Phone

Something weird and wicked this way comes!

When three Goblins come across a copy of the Complete Works of William Shakespeare, they are intrigued by a writer who clearly knows his witches, faeries, goblins and monsters. They decide to co-opt a theatre space and cajole an audience into participating in their first attempt at “doing theatre”. They choose Macbeth because it’s short…and has lots of blood!

Uber talented, long-time collaborators Bruce Horak and Rebecca Northan bring tragedy, comedy, poetry…and goblins together for a theatrical experience not soon to be forgotten. In this extraordinary mash-up, audiences are brought to the edge of their seats for a ‘spontaneous theatre’ experience. It’s horror, fantasy, improvisation, and Shakespeare all in one fell swoop! No fourth wall, no safety net, no rules! When Goblins are let loose in the theatre anything can happen!
