Artist Bio: Chohee Kim is a dedicated pianist whose relationship with music has grown and deepened over time. She began piano lessons at the age of three—initially reluctant, but now fully embracing the instrument as a powerful means of self-expression. Though she does not yet hold a formal degree in music due to limited access to resources and barriers related to reading print, Chohee is passionate about pursuing classical performance and continues to build her skills with intention and care.

Chohee has shared her music through class recitals and performances at retirement homes, creating meaningful moments through her playing. For her, music is more than a craft—it’s a space of authenticity and a way to express what words often cannot.

She lives with retinopathy of prematurity and is the only serious musician in her family, though she fondly remembers her grandfather, who once played a bit of piano himself. Despite the barriers she faces, Chohee remains committed to her growth as a classical pianist and to the joy that music brings both to her and to those who hear it.
