Almost Live episode #215

Join us as Almost live welcomes back storyteller Christine Malec. Christine has been travelling in Europe, researching two 18th century Classical musicians who were well known in their time for composing and performing, and who were both Blind.

With the assistance of a Canada Counsel grant, Christine and her colleague visited Vienna and Paris to learn about the life and work of flutist Friedrich Dulon, and pianist and singer Maria Theresia Von Paradis. Christine came back with real time audio from historic places, travel stories, and original historical fiction stories she wrote and will tell, based on her research about these colourful figures from the history of music and the Blind community.
