Silent Movie Mondays is a wonderfully theatrical film series presented by Vancouver Civic Theatres at the historic Orpheum Theatre, in Vancouver.

Silent films are highly visual. Although they use onscreen title cards for dialogue and story information, much of the comedy, characterization and action is communicated through movement, facial expressions and visual composition. VocalEye brings you 2 short silent films, with audio description, in celebration of Silent Movie Monday, and with special guest Dean Evans to explore the artistry of whay makes a silent film pop on screen without speaking a single word.

Guest Bio

Dean Evans is a Los Angeles-based physical theater artist and director with over two decades of experience in movement arts including Clown , Mime, and physical comedy. Dean has toured nationally and internationally as a solo artist. Dean also teaches workshops in clowning, bouffon, and physical theater.
